This is an image of myself inspired by Opie's cover art for Blur's Greatest Hits. Using new techniques on Adobe Photoshop I learned how to create this layered, cartoon image of myself. Using the magnetic lasso tool I selected only my hair this process was repeated for all parts of my body of a similar tone. Next I used the fill tool and colour dab in order select a real colour from my hair and filled in whole sections of my hair, I did this multiple times in order to create a multi tonal hair whilst still keeping the cartoonistic look. After I had completed my body clothing and hair, I used the circle tool and brush tool to create my facial features over the top of my actual features. I then drew in my chest hairs and shadows onto my t-shirt. Lastly I drew all of my layers together and got rid of the original image behind. Then I selected a suitable block colour, reminiscent of the original blur cover and filled the back layer with this colour.
